What do I do once I have paid the $250 non-refundable retreat deposit?

When will I find out my room details and travel arrangements for the retreat?

Hold tight! In the weeks leading up to the retreat we will provide you with a detailed itinerary, that includes further information about check in times, room allocations, hotel information etc.

Do we have to do yoga and meditation everyday on the retreat?

This is not the case at all. None of the activities scheduled into the Bali Teacher’s program are compulsory and we aim for you to pick and choose what options you enjoy at Hotel Komune: from teachers who want to train in the multi function gym to those who will enjoy yoga and surfing. You can be as busy or as relaxed as you like. Some of the self-development workshops are compulsory.

What are the meals like?

To be completely honest with you- incredible! Hotel Komune Health Hub use the finest ingredients sourced locally and organically where possible. You will find everything including fresh salads, lean meats, seafood, rice, spices and amazing flavours, smoothie bowls, health tonics and if you are wanting something naughty they have some fabulous burgers and western style meals as well.

Can we enjoy some cheeky cocktails by the pool bar or beers at night? Can we go out for dinner or drinks?

Absolutely! A Smile Teachers retreat is about rewarding teachers for all their hard work. We encourage teachers to socialise and get to know each other. We advise you not to go overboard so that you don’t miss any valuable learning experiences the next day though. Ubud is about 30 minutes away and we can arrange transport for you to some awesome restaurants in the area.

I’m thinking of coming by myself. Is that ok?

Of course it is! Many people come by themselves, in fact more than half. Whether you are single or in a group you are still going to have the best time.

Can I do my own thing during the day or do I have to stick to the schedule?

The one thing you will have a lot on the retreat is OPTIONS! You can do whatever you like with all of our professional development and wellbeing sessions being optional as well.
